Over the years, the firm had morphed from Citi Smith Barney, to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, to what is now just Morgan Stanley. Through this unstable time period, Chris was able to build and maintain a base of high-net-worth clientele, endowments & foundations, institutional and corporate clients.

He later took his practice to downtown Los Angeles where he was part of a large brokerage team that focused heavily on trading and syndicate business. The team also managed money for many high-net-worth clients, which has come to be his primary avenue of business. At Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms, Chris consistently received accolades for being at the top of his peer group. He also achieved the Financial Planning Specialist designation and has worked with several families in this regard.

In addition to investment management, Chris built his business through lending. In a period of historically low interest rates, he figured he could best serve his clients by financing and refinancing their business and personal debt. In a 12-month period, Chris facilitated over $100 million in lending through Citi and Morgan Stanley. For calendar year 2010, he originated the most mortgage loans in the entire company.
