Royal began his career in 2001 as a commodity broker where he learned the ins and outs of how the markets function and developed an understanding of how to balance risk and reward. Royal joined Oregon Pacific Financial Advisors in 2006 as a financial planner dedicated to helping his clients make the best possible choices when it comes to planning for the future. Enjoying the discovery and problem-solving parts of the financial planning process assists him to be able to help both retirees as well as those just beginning their careers.

Being a lifelong resident of Southern Oregon, Royal is an active member of the community. His passion for helping people has lead him to volunteer with a number of non-profit organizations including Barnstormers Theater and Southern Oregon Head Start. Royal serves as a Board Member of the Maslow Project in Jackson County which helps homeless youth in Southern Oregon.
