Aaron Cirksena is a new partner, having joined Brion Harris and his team at Premier Planning Group in August of 2015. Prior to joining Premier Aaron worked as an advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in the downtown Baltimore area.


Aaron was born and raised right here in the Annapolis area. He attended Severn High School in Severna Park and later graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a degree in economics.


If Aaron is not in the office helping clients he can be found on the golf course, spending quality time with family, or simply relaxing having a beer with friends in the Federal Hill area of Baltimore.

Pricing Model:

After presenting a plan to a client I can be compensated in one of two ways if they decide to move forward with implementation. They are as follows:


  • Fee based 
    • Under this relationship I am compensated based on a flat percentage of assets under management with us
  • Commission based
    • Under this type of relationship I am compensated by the particular investment companies that we choose to work with

What is your planning process like?
Typically we have a 3 meeting process that we take clients through. The first meeting would be a data gathering meeting that I equate to visiting the doctor for a checkup. If you only tell the doctor 50% of your symptoms they probably have a 50% chance of making the right diagnosis and the correct prescription. It works the same way with us so the more info we get from you the better a job we can do on your plan. The second meeting involves the presentation of your full financial plan taking into account all of your investments and income sources you will have in retirement along with any specifics discussed in our first meeting you wanted to address. This is really where the rubber meets the road and you get to see how our recommendations can impact your financial life. The third meeting is where paperwork would be completed if you decide to move forward with any or all of the recommendations we have made and it is a very swift process. We always explain how we are compensated with regards to each and every account and make sure that we have clearly defined goals and expectations in place. From here it is an ongoing relationship involving as many or as few meetings and contacts per year as the individual client wishes.
