Debbie Gallant is the owner Gallant Financial Planning in Montgomery County, Maryland. She's a fee-only financial planner and investment advisor providing project and retainer based services to individuals, couples, and families.

Our services are in depth and comprehensive. We love what we do and will share our passion for our services with you. You'll further benefit from working with us by increased peace of mind knowing "we have your back." We provide individualized services to you so that our recommendations are tailored to your needs, goals, and priorities. Services include retirement and college planning, tax aware planning, insurance and estate planning reviews, employee benefit reviews, and investment advice or management (based on your preferences).

We do not have asset or income minimums nor do we charge you based on your assets (no AUM fees! and no commisions because we won't sell you products). You pay a flat fee agreed upon up front for the services that you want.

Call or email for a phone consultation and we can then determine if you'd like to come in for a no charge initial consultation meeting.

Debbie is the former president of DC Metro chapter of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisor and is active with NAPFA, the Alliance of Comprehensive Planners, and the Financial Planning Association.

In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner, Debbie has furthered her eduction to add credentials of Registered Life Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.  Being a Registered Life Planner reflects Debbie's interest in the "whole person" rather than simply the numbers.  We will have conversations rather than presentations during our working meetings together.

Prior to becoming a CFP, Debbie was self employed for 15 years and ran two small businesses.  Previously, Debbie was a consultant to the Federal EPA and provided services relating to environmental policy and regulations for 11 years.  Debbie is a graduate of the University of Virginia (1984) and also holds a masters degree from UVA (1988).

Debbie lives in Rockville with her husband Ron, her son David (now in college) and two spoiled Cairn Terriers that they adopted from rescue groups. Debbie is an avid gardener and is learning German so when she visits her grandson in Bonn, she can communicate better.

Disclosure
Advisor profile scores displayed on this site are derived using the following criteria. Step 1: An advisor profile rating starts with a baseline score of 90 points. Step 2: The advisor score is increased from the baseline after screening for 3 criteria: years of experience, industry credentials and completeness of profile. Step 3: The advisor score is decreased after screening for publicly available disclosure events such as litigation or regulatory matters. Such decreases relate to the existence of a disclosure and, in most cases, do not account for timing, magnitude or severity of such disclosure. Many other factors are not considered in the scoring such as financial stability, fees, affiliations and educational background, and you should carefully consider these factors. The criteria are based on information Wealthminder deems helpful and available at the time of the scoring. Scores do not vary based on qualitative feedback from users. Advisor presentation and visibility and allocation of proposals will vary for advisors who pay a marketing plan program fee. Wealthminder does not recommend or provide any warranty or guarantee of the quality or suitability of any specific advisor or products or services offered by such advisor. Please consult regulatory sites for additional information about advisors’ background.
